Brass music very early in the morning

Traditionally, the brass bands of Bad Goisern  set out in the morning on Easter Sunday and on 1st May in their music uniforms to wake up the population with a musical greeting.

Music - a living tradition

Music plays a major role in the Dachstein Salzkammergut holiday region, especially in the preservation of traditions. In Bad Goisern, Gosau, Hallstatt and Obertraun there are numerous music bands that organise their own concerts and also provide musical accompaniment to all important events in the towns.

One well-known musician in the region is Hubert von Goisern. He has his roots in Bad Goisern at Lake Hallstatt and this is also reflected in his music.
