Obertrauner Bergerlebnis - alpine festival in the Koppenwinklalm

On 7 September 2025 the traditional pasture festival will take place at the Koppenwinklalm in Obertraun.

Local specialities, folk music and Schuhplattler performances

If you love a cosy and convivial afternoon of folk music entertainment - a visit to the pasture festival at the Koppenwinkelalm is just right for you! At lunchtime, there is a "Jodler- und Weisenblasen" with the Obertrauner Weisenbläser brass band at the Lake Koppenwinkel.

Afterwards the "Arikogler" - a young folk music group from the World Heritage Region - will play. The "Heimatgruppe Obertraun" convinces with their "Schuhplattler" performances to folk dances from the Salzkammergut.

Enjoy the specialities from the region - Holzknechtnock'n, Schneeballn, Rauggerln - for your physical well-being.

The pasture Koppenwinkel can be reached in about 20 minutes walking distance from the parking Koppenwinkl or from the railway station Obertraun Koppenbrüllerhöhle!

Tip: not far from the Koppenwinkelalm - only a few minutes walk away - there is a kneipp trail at Hagenbach and an idyllic path to the Bühlerbach spring. Both brooks are karst springs fed with ice-cold water from the Dachstein massif!
