NOTE: The Danube ferry Obermühl–Kobling is open from April 1 to October 31 and generally operates daily between 9:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. (or also as needed, please make sure to call in advance).

Waterfront Obermühl – Vacation right on the Danube

The holiday home “Waterfront Obermühl” is located directly on the banks of the Danube in the small village of Obermühl, a district of Kirchberg ob der Donau in the upper Mühlviertel. Here, water, nature, and the special tranquility of the Danube landscape determine the rhythm of the day.

The house consists of two residential units.

The Waterfront Obermühl apartments offer simple, uncomplicated living in immediate proximity to the water – ideal for anyone seeking a straightforward and nature-oriented getaway.

Enjoy the morning view of the Danube, take a walk along the river, cycle on the Danube bike path, or explore the Danube hiking trail – nature begins right at your doorstep around Obermühl.

A special highlight for anglers: Fishing can be done directly from the property on the Danube – a rare opportunity that makes the stay by the water particularly special.

The famous Schlögener Loop and the viewpoint Burgstall are only a few kilometers away and invite excursions into one of the most beautiful river landscapes in Austria.

Obermühl above the Danube is located in the municipality of Kirchberg above the Danube, about 50 km from Passau and about 45 km from Linz away. Travel time is about 50–60 minutes.

Traveling from Passau: Via the A3 (exit Passau) and B388 through Obernzell, Untergriesbach, and the Rannastausee, then through Oberkappel, Putzleinsdorf, and Lembach to Obermühl. Alternatively, from Passau via B130 through Engelhartszell and Niederranna.

Traveling from Linz: Via A7/B127 towards Rohrbach, at Altenfelden towards Lembach/Obermühl.
