Our Apartment Bergheimat - a warm welcome!

The well-known "Salzkammergut Mountainbike Trophy" race track, which takes place here every year in July and is an event lasting several days and runs right past our house.
From here you can start many routes.

Furthermore, there are many opportunities for climbing or via ferrata in the vicinity (Ewiger Wand only 15 minutes by car).

The most beautiful bathing lakes in the area Salzkammergut can be reached in just a few minutes by car and invite you to relax.
Standup paddles and boats can be rented here.

From here you can also make great excursions: a trip to mountain Krippenstein combined with an hike, a visit to the salt mines in Hallstatt, a shopping tour through the imperial city of Bad Ischl or a boat trip on one of the crystal-clear lakes.

Location description

Our house is located about 700 meters above sea level in Bad Goisern at Lake Hallstatt.
The district is called Herndl. The renovated mountain farm from 1774 is located right on the edge of the forest.
From the apartment you can enjoy the view of the unspoilt forest on one side and the Katergebirge, mountain Predigstuhl and the Eternal Wall on the other.
Only 100 meters from the house you can marvel at the view of the Dachstein and Lake Hallstatt. Our house also includes an untouched piece of forest that you can of course visit.
In the spring, here you can pick wild garlic, which really thrives here.
At the end of our slope there is a campfire site, which you can also use if you comply with the guidelines.

In spring and autumn we often have deer and deer visiting us, which are great to watch.
The neighboring goats and sheep also graze here at this time of the year.
The soft ringing of the little bells is reminiscent of the alpine pasture.

Our district is very quiet and at night you can admire the starry sky, as it is very dark due to the lack of street lighting.

In winter, with good snow conditions, it is possible to start a ski tour directly from the house on the Hütteneck or the Raschberg.
The route of Salzkammergut Mountainbike Trophy (Europe's toughest mountain bike race) also passes here.

Your host

We are a family of 5 consisting of my husband Stefan, our 3 small sons, myself Nadja and our cat.
All of us have been able to call the beautiful Salzkammergut our home since we were born, but we only came here to Bad Goisern in October 2021.

We bought this house 3 years ago and have painstakingly and lovingly renovated, renovated and expanded it. My husband is a trained bricklayer and now also a helicopter pilot. In our apartment he has everything, for example the double bed, the stairs, the attic, etc. self built.

I'm a middle school teacher and a passionate athlete. I originally come from the tourism industry and I am therefore very happy to be able to do something in this area again, namely to be your hostess.
