The hut is located 1,200 meters above sea level on an idyllic alpine pasture. In summer it can be reached by car via a gravel forest path. In winter it is right on the ski slope. Extensive ski tours and snowshoe hikes can be started directly from the hut. We transport the luggage with the Polaris on arrival and departure. The hut is very quaint, cozy and equipped with a lot of lovely details.
In winter the hut is located in the small but fine Wurzeralm ski area. It can then only be reached by ski, although this is relatively easy because it is right on the ski slope. The lift closes at 4 p.m. after the last ascent. Then you are alone in nature.
The cabin has a fully equipped kitchen. Cooking is done on the large stove, which also heats the living room at the same time. The wood is provided and there is a briefing on how to use the fireplace. Electric power is provided by a photovoltaic system. The power is sufficient for smaller consumers. The main purpose of the facility is to illuminate the hut. It was important to us that the hut remains as original and "Almerian" as possible. There is a bathroom with a toilet and sink and, recently, a simple shower with hot water.

In summer the hut can be reached by car via the forest road.
In winter you can reach the hut on skis. It is located directly on the slope of the Gammering run in the Wurzeralm ski area. If necessary, we can take luggage and guests to the hut with a snow groomer.
I am happy when guests appreciate the hut and the beautiful mountain world opens up to them. During the stay, I am happy to help with any questions.
