We fell in love with the small 400 year old farmhouse "In der Straß" in the Dörfl, in the nature reserve Hongar-Höllengebirge, only 15 minutes away from Traunkirchen. In search of a retirement home in the form of a so-called "Sacherl" with a small orchard and a quiet southern location in a rural environment and a view of the mountains, we found it. During the reconstruction the old was preserved. Stone walls, 400 years old wood, clay plaster, original old tiled stoves, fir board flooring, larch wood box frame windows and limestone slabs. Modern technology was installed, a heat pump, floor and wall heating and a sauna.
