It has become beautiful, probably the oldest inn in Linz. So beautiful that passers-by strolling through the old town deliberately and regularly stop at the former Goldener Anker inn and take a curious look at the renovated parlour from the outside. The cool tiles gave way to a warm oak floor, and new life was breathed into the kitchen and also the inner courtyard.
As best as possible, the charm of yesteryear, including the wooden panelling in the parlour, was retained and restored.
Christian and Simone Göttfried are two gastronomic professionals who have already spent a decade creating an epicurean meeting place for fine dining in the Schrot in Alkoven.
The result is impressive: A pearl in the heart of Linz.
