Welcome to our historic farm Kaspergut!

Our heritage organic farm dedicated to preserving heritage livestock breeds has been revitalised and renovated with a great deal of care. The holiday apartment in the former hayloft and the new apartment next to the garden have everything your heart could possibly desire, most of all: plenty of space and comfort to relax.

Experience how traditional farming looks like at first hand. Feel the connection with nature and the animals. Once a week, we bake bread in the wood-fired stove that we have masoned ourselves. Early birds can join us when we bake bread every Friday.

We’ve purchased and restored an old in-house mill (it was once part of a larger mill in Faistenau, a village in Salzburg). We’re happy to show you how rye was ground in former days.

Our farm is set near the border to the province of Salzburg. It’s surrounded by meadows and forests. There are plenty of outdoor activities in the surroundings (climbing, horse riding, ice skating, cross-country skiing, hiking, ...). Furthermore, you can visit cultural events and museums in Salzburg, Oberndorf (“Silent Night” museum), Braunau.
