The apartments are hirable the whole year long.
In 2012, we, two married couples from the north of Germany who were friends, came to Gosau in search of a suitable holiday destination that matched both our enthusiasm for winter sports and our interests in hiking, climbing and water sports. Actually, it was only supposed to be one flat, but in the end it became a whole house with four flats.
To be honest, we knew neither Gosau nor the beautiful Salzkammergut. And yet the ski area "Dachstein-West" with its many still originally preserved huts and snack stations has a charm that has been lost in many mass ski resorts. And this despite the many pistes that meet every demand. If the slopes designed as a family ski area are not enough for you, you can drive 20 minutes to the "Krippenstein". An almost pure freeride area for the highest demands, which is part of the "Dachstein-West" ski pass. Those who don't dare to descend off-piste can use the 11 km long piste run. Allegedly the longest downhill run in the whole of Austria.
For cross-country skiers, there are various groomed trails that cross the long valley and the forests of the Gosau Valley. An entrance to the main trail starts directly at the "Gams".
Why the Salzkammergut is internationally known and popular becomes especially clear in summer. Just one holiday is certainly not enough to explore the total of 76 lakes, the beautiful villages and the countless hiking routes, restaurants and scenic beauty spots. A day of swimming at Lake Altauseer, Lake Attersee or around St. Wolfgang on the lake of the same name have often made us ask why you should definitely go to the sea in summer.
Our great passion for the Gosau Valley and the entire Salzkammergut region is also evident in the fact that we decided to completely renovate and expand the building we bought in 2012. Today, a holiday and flat house with sauna, large natural pool and multi-purpose room that meets many demands awaits you (and us!).
