The Fischer Graveltour connects the Mühlviertel with the Czech Republic over 65 km and offers varied paths, tranquil nature and impressive views along the Vltava.
The Fischer Gravel Tour with 65 kilometers and around 1100 meters of altitude is a varied and beautiful tour that offers everything your heart desires. From Bad Leonfelden you start comfortably on asphalt before you soon cross the border into the Czech Republic and enter a completely different landscape. This is where the real magic begins: beautiful gravel roads lead through deep forests, past clearings and small streams - a tranquil nature experience that brings you closer to the Vltava reservoir step by step. Once you reach the lake, you cycle along a wonderful cycle path directly alongside the water, accompanied by the gentle murmur and fantastic views over the glistening surface. After the village of Lučovice comes the absolute heart of the tour: the section between the old railroad tracks and the river along the Vltava after the dam. Here, the route and landscape merge into a true dream of enjoyment - gently winding paths, quiet bays, the Vltava always at your side. A short detour to the Iron Curtain Memorial near Guglwald is worthwhile before the landscape slowly opens up.
Wide meadows framed by dense forest give the last part of the tour a peaceful, almost fairytale-like atmosphere. The route finally leads back to Bad Leonfelden via the Schwedenschanze. A tour full of contrasts - between countries, landscapes and moods - and a real gravel highlight between the Mühlviertel and the Vltava.
