The classic hike!
Beautiful hike into the wild and legendary Pesenbach Valley past unique natural beauties.
From the forest swimming pool in Bad Mühllacken, we hike along the right side of the Pesenbach into the nature reserve. Past the forest chapel and the Gaißkirche. After the "Schlager Salettl" the alpine hiking trail begins with the ascent to Kerzenstein. We hike back into the valley and cross the Schlagerbrücke to the opposite side of the stream back to the starting point.
Directions:We admire unique natural beauties such as the "stone roof" (roof-shaped rock overhang), the "blue alley" (narrow spot where dark eruptive rock has been washed out), the "devil's cauldrons" (round washouts formed by whirlpools) and the "Kerzenstein," the landmark of the Pesenbach Valley. Along the route, the Danube path highlight „Paths to Healing“ invites its visitors to discover Kneipp's teachings and to explore power and cult places.
