Nice route on forest paths and forest roads that offers some views into the valley.
This route starts at Brunnbachstadl, leads briefly on asphalt and then right over the meadow and across a small bridge into the forest. Later past the Rauchgraben farm and over the Schafgraben to the car park at Brunnbach barrier it goes back on the road to the starting point.
Hiking trail: E48
Directions:From the car park the path leads a short distance on asphalt and then right over the meadow and over a small bridge up into the forest. A short stretch goes over an asphalt road, past the Rauchgrabner farm, then further through the forest until the Kreuzweg is reached. The circular route leads on the left hand side over the Schafgraben (E 48 / 488) down to the car park “Brunnbach barrier”, from where you follow the road back to the starting point.
Variants: At the Kreuzweg you can leave the circular hiking trail toward Große Klause. From there, you could continue hiking to Ebenforstalm or via the Triftsteig and Hochschlacht to Anlaufalm.
