Brustwand Märchen Wanderweg

A walk on the Brustwand with wonderful views over Lake Wolfgangsee and the Schafberg Mountain opposite.

A little way from the Weberhäusl Guesthouse in Weissenbach, in the direction of Strobl, there is a right-handed bend.  Following walk no. 8, go left here onto a track in the direction of the Kleefeld Guesthouse.  A little way along, the turn off right to a lovely view (steep section for more experienced hikers).  Passing two viewpoints, the path leads mainly through a wood.  Firstly it leads steadily uphill to the 886m Brustwand (viewpoint and stamping point) and then further over wooded pastures to a forest road.  Follow this to a game reserve and the Kleefeld Guesthouse, passing the guesthouse and going left, to join up with walk no. 7, after which it is downhill to the starting point.  
An alternative route to the stamping point for small children:  From the Kleefeld Guesthouse take the forest road in the direction of the Sparber Mountain and at the left hand bend, continue on to the stamping point.
