Visitors interested in natural history can deepen their knowledge on the nature trail at Pfarrerhölzl. This old mixed deciduous forest in the municipalities of Hohenzell and Ried im Innkreis has always been a valuable and much-visited local recreation area due to its location behind the Ried outdoor pool.
The Pfarrerhölzl is a near-natural deciduous forest, which is partly 200 years old and consists mainly of oaks, hornbeams and ash trees. The Pfarrerhölzl has been placed under protection as a "Protected Landscape Area" by the Nature Conservation Department of the Upper Austrian Provincial Government.Please get in touch for more information.
