Experience this unmistakable cross-country ski trail at 1,000 m through the unique landscape of the Rossmoosalm. You will be thrilled!
The red signposted, medium-difficulty Rossmoos circuit starts in the upper park area at the parking lot of the Predigstuhl reading hotel.
It is suitable for skating for athletic skiers, but also for diagonal skiers.
The trail begins with a moderately steep ascent through the forest and a few flat sections to the first small hut.
Now the trail gently climbs past the first four alpine huts of the Rossmoosalm. From here, there is already a great view of "King Dachstein" and the Krippenstein.
After crossing the summer hiking trail to Hütteneck, you come to another hill.
From here you can enjoy a fantastic view of the Sarstein, Raschberg and Zwerchwand. After a short descent, you reach the unmistakable "Obermoos".
On the left, you can see Goisern's local mountain, the Predigstuhl.
Once you have conquered the next short ascent, you reach the uppermost hut of the Rossmoosalm. Past the "Jela-Hütte" , you then glide over a 500 m long, easy and clear descent through the forest to the crossroads.
On the left-hand side there is a detailed overview board of the high-altitude cross-country trail network. Now it's another 1.5 km back to the starting point.
Halfway back, two benches and a panorama board with a fantastic view of our World Heritage region invite you to linger.
