Start is at the Europaplatz in Bad Schallerbach directly in front of the Tourist-Info. Here you can get information on the overview board or you can pick up a hiking map directly at the tourist info.

Cross the Trattnach River and follow the path through the large ÖBB-underpass into the center of Bad Schallerbach. Passing restaurants and stores, you come to the town hall square and cross the main road here. To the left of the beautiful town hall with the Heimatstube, a small path climbs up to the Magdalenaberg. First as a straight, later in serpentines ascending forest path brings you to the viewing platform at the Magdalenaberg church. Great views, a rest and a visit to the Magdalenaberg church are the highlights here. With a beautiful panoramic view you continue towards the Hubertus chapel and follow the path through the forest towards the Sandberg. After the clearing you go straight on and always left following the ridge. There you will find one of the most beautiful panoramic viewpoints with a view of the Salzkammergut (here you will also find a bench for a short rest). Then follow the asphalt road past the Hofbühne Tegernbach and numerous rural farmsteads. At a crossroads at the Speckmayer pond, continue on the main road for about 400 meters to the Waldschänke restaurant. Turning left there onto a gravel road, the trail follows through the Zehetholz forest into the center of Grieskirchen. At the church square numerous restaurants are waiting for you.
You can return to Bad Schallerbach to the starting point by train or bus.
