Walding

Walding, Oberösterreich, Österreich
Walding at its finest!

Walding is located south of the Rodl river, in immediate vicinity to the Danubian shores, right in the center of an ancient settlement area. Many Stone Age findings prove the early colonization of this region. Mursberg always appeared in historical documents as an excavation site of prehistoric findings. Between 1765 and 1770 Walding was a renowned pilgrimage place but then prohibited, on the advice of Pöstlingberg´s parish priest who feared rivalry, by the Bishop of Passau in 1770.

Our lively town has a lot more to offer! Sports-minded can choose from a wide range of sports and activities, among them the Walding Sports Park or the exciting Wildlife Park run by the Mair Family.

Take a rest among friends and enjoy culinary delights prepared with love to the detail. Or simply relax and unwind while having a chat at the bar when the day comes to an end.
