Bad Schallerbach has been known as one of the leading health towns for decades. The parish owes its reputation to the sulphur springs that were developed in 1918. The highly effective water provides relaxation for the body, spirit and soul of thousands of people every year.

Over the past few years, this town with 3700 inhabitants has invested a great deal in its infrastructure and developed from a spa town into a modern resort. With more than 450,000 overnight stays per year, Bad Schallerbach is now the second largest tourist parish in Upper Austria.
An important stimulus comes from the heart of the Vitalwelt – the Eurothermen Resort in Bad Schallerbach which is one of the first addresses for wellness and health.

A town for young and old

In addition to Austria’s most attractive water park, “Aquapulco – the pirate world”, and the unique “Tropicana” thermal springs, Bad Schallerbach also offers a whole lot more for a relaxing, exciting and eventful holiday.
Lectures, concerts and revues provide entertainment all year round. Last but not least, the international summer of music, that now runs from April to December, has become established as a major event in the Upper Austrian cultural landscape and forms a focal point for cultural life in the region.

The 22 hectare botanical park housed the state garden show in 2009 and offers both rest and relaxation, fun and action. For those who like it more active – the seven running and Nordic walking routes in the exercise arena lead you through the most beautiful areas of Bad Schallerbach, and the large hiking and cycle path network is ideal for tours of discovery throughout the Vitalwelt. Cafes, restaurants and dance halls along the routes provide a nice diversion.
