Burgkirchen has been awarded best Upper Austrian "Cycling Resort" and offers an infinite number of cycling tracks for all levels and ambitions. Families are invited to try the adventure hiking trail and to spend unforgettable moments in the heart of this outstanding holiday region.

The local parish church, with a precious crucifixion scene created by Martin Zürn and wonderful stucco works of J.M. Vierthaler, rank among the most interesting cultural sites of Burgkirchen. The affiliated church of St. Georg hosts Austria´s oldest offertory box and remarkable altars created by the Zürn brothers.
