In 1971, the Bad Haller Kurverein was transformed into the Bad Haller Carneval Club BHCC, established as a completely apolitical and nonprofit club. The purpose of the BHCC is enshrined in the valid club statutes.
The activities of the club are not aimed at generating profits; they aim to promote, preserve, and maintain Austrian customs, particularly those related to carnival or Fastnacht traditions, along with associated events in line with the exercised club purpose.
The man of the first hour and first president of the BHCC was the then Bad Haller spa and eye doctor Dr. Friedrich Trichtel, under whose leadership on November 11, 1971, the first prince couple Lieselotte I. and Karl I. opened the first carnival season in Bad Hall with the carnival call BA HA.
Meanwhile, Bad Hall has become a carnival stronghold in Upper Austria and is widely known beyond the borders of its own state. The Bad Haller Carneval Club BHCC has become an institution with all its members and events, which cannot be imagined without in the cultural life of Bad Hall. The preservation of customs is of utmost importance.
As one of the largest clubs in the city, it carries the name BAD HALL far beyond the borders of Upper Austria as a meeting place for joy and cheerfulness—and not just during the carnival season. The significance of the Bad Haller Carneval Club as a major promotional vehicle for the city of Bad Hall is invaluable and constantly on the rise.
