SPIRULINAS - magische Pflanzenwelt

We would like to recommend "The magical plant world "Spirulinas"" from the FLIP association at Frauenteich in Freistadt. This project is also supported by funding from the Leader Region Mühlviertler Kernland Freistadt . You can marvel at this art project on the subject of climate protection and children's rights until October 2024 at the Frauenteich in Freistadt.


Artfully designed algae and plant creatures on the theme of climate protection and children's rights gather on stable platforms in the Frauenteich pond. These were developed, built and designed by around 200 children from primary school 1. A large sculpture - Spirulina, an artistic interpretation of the algae creature - can be found on one of the eight floating, illuminated platforms in the water as the primordial mother of all plants, so to speak. This creates a colourful, diverse and artistic magical world of plants at the Frauenteich. This floating installation illuminates the water like fireflies and magically enchants the surroundings and the Frauenteich, bringing the children's themes into the public space.
