Cross-country skiing & skating
The landscape in Mühlviertler Granitland offers an almost perfect mix for cross-country skiing. The hilly character regularly opens up to breathtaking views. Then the eye enjoys white chains of hills stretching towards the horizon, where the Alps loom in the far distance to the south. As soon as Mother Hulda shakes her pillows vigorously and the snow conditions allow, excellent cross-country trails are prepared for skaters and classic cross-country skiers. Winter sports enthusiasts can glide gently along the varied circuits and escape the daily grind.
There is no charge for using the trails.
We recommend entering the cross-country ski trail network at the Shell petrol station in Hartl - there are plenty of parking spaces available here.
