At the beginning of 2016, we sat together over a glass of wine, how could it be otherwise? Over the course of days and weeks, "We could grow our own wine" became a concrete plan and our favourite project. We looked for and finally found suitable areas to grow grapes, took soil samples and selected vines. We decided to plant only white wine varieties. We chose the Grüner Veltliner, Gelber Muskateller, Sauvignon blanc and Chardonnay grape varieties.

The following year, 2017, our big dream began. After months of meticulous planning, we planted the first 4,000 vines in May - by hand. The care of this first hectare in Mehrnbach and Senftenbach, which was mainly carried out by hand, taught us a great deal about the vineyard.

We were able to put this newly acquired knowledge to the test in 2018 when we planted again. A further 3.5 hectares of vineyards in Tumeltsham, Neuhofen im Innkreis and Mehrnbach were added to the Christian winery. This new vineyard with around 12,000 vines demanded a lot from us. We worked tirelessly in the vineyard every day until late autumn. Thanks to the excellent summer, we were able to achieve a result that more than exceeded our expectations. "You can watch the vines grow," we heard more than once from those who regularly marvelled at our vineyards. We were particularly pleased that the young vines developed excellently on the soil we had optimised.

The 2021 wine year began for us at the end of 2020, with our "Victor" cuvée being the first wine to go on sale in December 2020. It impressed with its fruity freshness and was already drunk up shortly after Christmas.

The time had come at the end of February. We were delighted to finally be able to bottle our full range of varieties. Our range of varieties, from the fresh and fruity Grüner Veltliner to our delicately aromatic Gelber Muskateller and Sauvignon Blanc to the full-bodied Chardonnay, has been available for sale ever since.
