After 1620: Counter-Reformation: EMIGRATION

1752 - 1757: Forced MIGRATION of secret Protestants to Transylvania (over 150 people from the Hall area)

1781: TOLERANCE FOR LUTHERANS: By 1944 there are over 100 Lutherans in the Hall area who attend church services in Neukematen

1880: Deaconess (sister) from Gallneukirchen looks after Protestant children staying in Bad Hall for a cure

1899: Establishment of a PREDIGTSTELLE ("Hotel Budapest")

1905 - 1907: Establishment of a Protestant children's home "Haus Bethesda" (now Diakonie) - becomes the centre of Protestant life in Bad Hall

1934: Preaching position is converted into PREDIGTSTATION

1944: Settlement of Transylvanian Saxons from Weißkirch, Kallesdorf and Mönchsdorf, increasing the number of Protestants in the Hall area sixfold

1957: Bad Hall becomes the TEACHING COMMUNITY of Neukematen with its own parish council, presbytery and trustees

1964 - 1968: CONSTRUCTION OF THE PROTESTANT CHURCH OF ST LUKE

1970: Inauguration of the Protestant hospice: extension (instead of 28, now 70 beds) à from 1996 Hotel "Elise"

1978: BAD HALL BECOMES AN INDEPENDENT EVANGELICAL COMMUNITY with around 800 members

2002: Inauguration of the new community centre
