In May 1990, the Upper Austrian Photo Gallery was opened in the Upper Austrian Cultural Quarter.

Today, the Upper Austrian Photo Gallery is a centre for creative photographic art. The exhibitions feature photographic works by distinguished local and international photo artists.
The Upper Austrian Photo Gallery enjoys an excellent reputation as a presentation forum for sophisticated photography and has thus become the first address for renowned photo exhibitions.
