Honey bees suck up the flower nectar with their proboscis. In doing so, they proceed extremely systematically. They focus on just one type of plant at first and only change it when their job is done. For example, they take care of the cherry blossoms before they turn to the blossoms of apple trees. Once in the beehive, the foragers pass the nectar liquid to the hive bees. The nectar slides trunk to trunk from one bee to the other and then becomes the delicious Almtaler honey magic.

By train: Arrival with the Almtalbahn 153 from Wels.
by bus: OÖVV bus line 480: Scharnstein – Pettenbach – Kirchdorf
with the Traunstein taxi:
Route 70 from Scharnstein or Vorchdorf to Pettenbach
Call the taxi office 1 hour in advance on 050-422 1691 or order on the otaxi app.
by bike: on the R 11 from Wels to Grünau im Almtal or using the Traunviertel Tour, 2nd daily stage from Schlierbach via Magdalenaberg to Pettenbach.
by car:
Motorway A1: Leave the Westautobahn A1 in Regau and follow the B145 to Pettenbach.
A9 motorway: Leave the A9 in Inzersdorf-Kirchdorf and follow the Austrian Romanikstraße to Pettenbach.
