Finis terrae – die Abschlussstation am Johannesweg

Pierbach, Oberösterreich, Österreich

After 84 kilometres of hiking along the Johannesweg, you return to the starting point in Pierbach with many impressions. Here you should plan some more time to make a pilgrimage to the new final point "Finis terrae" above the town centre.
Back in 1955, the Pierbach Comradeship Association erected a peace cross there in thanks for the liberation of Austria and in memory of two tragic deaths in Pierbach. The peace cross has now been redesigned.

The entire final point is a mixture of mirrored surfaces and views. This station allows everything to flow together once again under the motto "Sources of strength" and invites visitors to pause and feel gratitude. Pilgrims have the opportunity to reflect on their experiences and take insights home with them.
