The stadium has a capacity of 4,400 spectators and is equipped for the following training and competitive sports (school sports): Football, fistball, athletics, weight training (weight room), table tennis (indoor), shooting range (for shooting clubs) and artificial turf pitch. Used by many clubs and schools, also from the surrounding area, the stadium has also made a name for itself as a venue for international sporting events. Major cultural events, such as a concert by Joe Cocker, have also been held at the stadium.
The sports facility was built in 1978 and officially opened on 2 September 1979. From then on, the Vöcklabruck football clubs ASKÖ and SV played their home games in the stadium. The LCAV athletics club also moved into the facility. This produced successful track and field athletes such as Andreas Berger. The multi-purpose facility enabled the town ofVöcklabruck to organise larger events. In July 1985, for example, the VIII. International Firefighting Olympics was held in Vöcklabruck in July 1985, which delighted spectators just as much as the numerous athletics events. In August 2003, the stadium was the venue for the 14th European Rifle Meeting. In June 2018, the Special Olympics flag flew in the stadium for four days. At the grand finale with almost 10,000 people , percussionist Martin Grubinger and his Percussive Planet Ensemble were the big highlight alongside the successful athletes .
