Observatory "SternGartl View"
Built in 2000, the "SternGartl Blick" viewing platform offers breathtaking views across the province of Upper Austria.
Northwest: This is where the idyllic SternGartl stretches out with its charming communities such as Reichenau i. M., Bad Leonfelden, Reichenthal, Vorderweißenbach, Schönegg, Afiesl, Oberneukirchen, Zwettl a. d. R., Sonnberg i. M. and Hellmonsödt. The Bohemian Forest and its extensive forests complete the scenery.
West: This direction offers an impressive view of Kirchschlag and the Breitenstein. On a clear day you can see the magnificent Dachstein massif.
Southeast: The foothills of the Alps unfold here, including the Danube and the imposing backdrop of the Ötscher.
East: This view extends over Alberndorf to the picturesque Marchland. On clear days, you can even see the Schneebergland on the horizon.
