Aussichtswarte "SternGartl Blick"

Built in 2000, the viewing platform offers impressive views across the province of Upper Austria.

Northwest
In the north-western part lies the SternGartl with the municipalities of Reichenau i. M., Ottenschlag i. M., Schenkenfelden, Bad Leonfelden, Reichenthal, Vorderweißenbach, Schönegg, Afiesl, Oberneukirchen, Zwettl a. d. R., Sonnberg i. M. and Hellmonsödt. This view is extended in the background through the huge forest areas of the Bohemian Forest into the Czech Republic.

West
To the west, the youngest SternGartl community of Kirchschlag with its highest mountain, the Breitenstein, rises above the large forest area of the Breitlüsser Wald. In fine weather and with a foehn wind, the view extends over the Dachstein massif as far as the Salzkammergut and the Pyhrn-Priel region.

South-east
From the south-eastern part of the lookout point, you can see the foothills of the Alps, the Linz-Enns plateau with the Danube and the western motorway visible from afar, with the Ötscher dominating the background.

East
To the east, you can see across Alberndorf, Pregarten and Wartberg into the Marchland plain. On a clear day, the mountains of the Schneebergland appear on the eastern horizon. To the north-east, there is a view of the pilgrimage site of St. Leonhard near Freistadt and the Viehberg near Sandl.
