VERA association

The Almtal Association serves the tourist, economic and rural development of the Almtal region.

"VERA" is the sounding name of the "Verein Almtal", which the communities Grünau im Almtal, Scharnstein, Pettenbach, Vorchdorf and Bad Wimsbach-Neydharting, as well as St. Konrad and Steinbach am Ziehberg have founded for joint projects and initiatives.

Together, the responsible persons and the municipalities, the tourism association Traunsee-Almtal and other partners initiated and launched pioneering projects.

One of the first tasks was to found the joint tourism association Almtal, which was the case in 2013, as part of the new tourism law, the tourism associations Almtal, Laakirchen and Traunsee 2019 were merged and continued as TVB Traunsee-Almtal.

Another milestone was the implementation of the leader project "Pleasure on the Alm River", which has activated the beautiful Almuferweg from Almspitz to Almsee and has become a very popular hiking destination, the special feature is the constant accessibility by public transport.

In addition to the topic of hiking, the topic of cycling or mobility in general is also important. Projects such as the Almtal 2025 tourism concept and other projects in the region also took part.

Currently, these are the Marienheim project in Grünau and the "Almtal on the move" mobility project.

And we hope that many more successful projects will follow!
