Barrierefreier 3D-Bogensportparcours

For many months, innkeeper Stefan Rudlstorfer and Gerold Steininger from the Greenspeed Bowhunters archery club worked on the 3D archery facility and then built it with hard-working helpers until it was opened on 1 September 2018.
In addition to the first barrier-free archery course in Upper Austria, the archery facility also has a course for families and a sports course.

There are three courses available in Pieberschlag:

• a sports course (34 stations)
• a family course (22 stations)
• a barrier-free course (16 stations)

Family & sports course

Joint registration, cash desk and hire is at the "Gasthaus zum Waldlehrpfad", where there is ample parking available. From there, the joint shooting range and start for the sports and family course can be reached on foot in just a few minutes.

The family course leads westwards into the forest. It offers a comfortable, shorter round that is also easy to manage with children.

The sports trail leads northwards in a large loop up the Pieberschläger Berg. After the refreshment stop (log cabin), the route continues along the western slope of the mountain and back to the start.

Barrier-free course

From the "Gasthaus zum Waldlehrpfad" you drive 2-3 minutes to a new car park for wheelchairs. A wide, paved path leads further into the forest. From the path, you can shoot at the 3D animals on the left and right. The shooting area is levelled so that the wheelchair can stand level to ensure safety when shooting. At the end of the trail is the log cabin, a refreshment stop with wheelchair-accessible WC facilities. The round will take about an hour.

The Gasthaus zum Waldlehrpfad is closed on Thursday and Friday!
