Frederick's Gate

The "Friedrichstor" is located at the castle of Linz. It dates from the 15th century when the emperor Friedrich III used to live in the castle in Linz.

The mission statement of Friedrich III "A.E.I.O.U" is written on it like on so many other possessions of Friedrich III. The legend says that this means more or less that the whole world subjects Austria.
