Zahn-wayside shrine

Dr. Eberhard Zahn from Germany leased the hunting rights in Schafberg-south in 1962.

He was a religious man. He wanted to thank god for everything beautiful and succeeded. Thats why he had the wayside shrine made from a craftsman from St. Wolfgang. On the 7th of Oktober in 1962 the wayside shrien was blessed during a mountain fair. Hunters and farmers were invited. From this year on there is a mountain fair and a celebration on the Schafbergalm every year.
