Mayr wayside shrine

St. Gilgen, Salzburg, Österreich
Josef Mayr died tragically in an accident on the 28th of April in 1968.
His parents wish was that a natural rock should be placed on the Location of the car accident. They closely worked together with Anton Meindl and found the Fitting rock at the base of the Drachenwand.
The rock was damaged multiple times in car accidents, but they managed to repair it every time.
At the day of the accient Josef Mayr had a forgetmenot with him. His mother scattered forgetmenot seeds next to the Stone. Every spring lots of blue flowers grow around the wayside shrine. His brother; Anton Mayr, takes care of the remembrance place.
