The Wayside Shrine is the remains of a former chapel that stood on what is now Höribachstrasse on the hill on the edge of the forest.
Larger vehicles often had difficulties to pass there, therefore in the 70s the chapel was demolished and replaced by a wayside shrine. After the construction of the goods road in 1975, it turned out that after the remeasurement of the strip on which the wayside shrine stood, it fell to the neighbour. In order to have it back on their own land, the wayside shrine was removed and placed near the house. It is carefully cared for by the Wieser family (Vorderberger) and - as is customary here - decorated with a May wreath every year. Please get in touch for more information.
