Haubner chapel

Zell am Moos/Tiefgraben, Oberösterreich, Österreich
Between two mighty Linden (natural monument) stands the Haubner chapel. When it was built is not known.
However, it was essential for the previous owners, Johann and Maria Wesenauer, about 500 years old Madonna statue. For security reasons, the couple let the statue on loan to the Mondseer Museum, where the Haubner Madonna is to be admired.

The Wesenauers had no children. The nephew Franz Mairhofer inherited the estate, which he manages with his wife Anna. In 1985 the chapel was renovated. Mr. Peter Schneeweiß from Straßwalchen could be won over for the design. Hikers and cyclists like to rest here. Not infrequently it happens that strangers come here and light a candle.
