The pawn's grandparents built the chapel during the Second World War as a request to return the son from the war. It was in vain. The son was killed in action.
This first chapel - built of wood - stood southeast of the farmhouse. It had to be relocated after a few years and completely removed in the late 1950s. The family decided on a new building. The brick chapel was built at the present location. For the heart - the Lourdesgrotte - stones of the worn Mondseer church tower were used. A thorough renovation of the chapel was undertaken by the family in 2012. A long-term summer guest helped actively. Please get in touch for more information.
