Bread is our daily bread. No other food plays such a prominent role in all of our lives, in everyday life, in cultures, religions and, last but not least, in our use of language.
Art and cultural artefacts from 9000 years ago and many parts of the world invite you to marvel and listen. Immerse yourself in the history and stories of bread. PANEUM is an experience that touches all the senses.
Egyptian grain mummies and toy cars, Peruvian totem poles and Meissen porcelain, Chinese granaries, guild tools, paintings and thousands of books - the collection that forms the foundation of the PANEUM spans both the world and time. And it has only one unifying element: bread.

Guided tour
The PANEUM tour lasts approximately one hour. Group visits are possible by prior arrangement only. With an audio guide (available in many languages), individual visits are possible at any time during opening hours. The last admission is one hour prior to the closing time.
