Possibility of buying peat products

In geology, a layer or sequence of layers of peat at least 30 cm thick is considered to be bog. A distinction is made between raised bogs and low or flat bogs according to their deposit.

Flat moor peat, such as the Neydhartinger Moor, is created by stacking plant residues that do not rot completely, as the vitality of the soil organisms is inhibited under the prevailing very wet conditions and a lack of air.
