Ernstinger Wirts-Bräu has been brewed since 2000 and is one of the very special specialities of the broad Innviertel beer culture.
For several generations, locals and guests from neighbouring Salzburg and Bavaria have been meeting here at Wirt z'Ernsting. The traditional Innviertel inn with its originally preserved parlours has already served as a backdrop for some of the films directed by Axel Corti. "Preserving the old and helping to shape the new" is not only the motto, but also determines everyday life in the inn.
The in-house "Ernstinger Wirts-Bräu" has been brewed here since 2000. What was initially intended as a publicity stunt, brewing 1 barrel of beer a week on a mini brewing system, soon developed into the pub's second mainstay. The naturally cloudy, amber-coloured Märzenbier is brewed with water from the brewery's own deep well, the best malts from the Plohberger malt house and organically grown hops from the Mühlviertel "Hansbergland" region.
Ernstinger Wirts-Bräu is also available in an attractive 2-litre bottle to take away.
