Tailor-made dirndls, traditional costumes and more can be found in the Dirndlwerkstatt in the middle of the market square in the historic center of Hallstatt. Tailor-made dirndls and high-quality traditional costume fashion have been available here since July 2016.
Whether everyday dirndl, wedding dirndl or traditional costume outerwear - at Dirndl from Hallstatt there is sure to be something for everyone. If you can't find the right dirndl "off the peg", you have the option of having a dirndl tailored to your own wishes.
There is also a colorful range of decorative items available. In addition to children's costumes, cardigans for ladies young and old, the Hallstatt dirndl , the official everyday costume of Hallstatt, off the peg and also made to measure, apron tags, bags, lederhosen, shirts and cardigans for boys and all sorts of other knick-knacks related to the dirndl.
Rebecca Schilcher, the owner and designer of our house, has designed the official everyday costume of Hallstatt . The Hallstattdirndl was included in the traditional costume portfolio of the Upper Austrian Heimatwerk in November 2016. The color scheme was inspired by the great fire in 1750, which destroyed the entire center of Hallstatt :
"The grey body symbolizes the ashes, pink stands for the fire and blue characterizes the serenity of the people of Hallstatt that was needed for the reconstruction."
We only sell goods from Austria, Italy and Bavaria. We attach great importance to the high quality of our materials, so you can also buy so-called Dirndl Packerl from us, which are fabrics put together by us for a whole dirndl to sew yourself.
