The Vorchdorf public library sees itself as a cultural institution. As a public institution, we offer affordable access to poetry and literature as well as factual information and popular media in all their diversity as far as we can.

We offer all people, regardless of their social, material, religious, health and ethnic status, free access to literature and information of all kinds and use our specialist knowledge specifically to promote reading, language, media and information skills. Reading is not only an important cultural technique, but also an indispensable source for intellectual and cultural orientation and offers impulses for personal self-development and contributes to coping with work, everyday life and meaningful leisure time. Since our main focus is on promoting reading and language skills for toddlers and primary school children, we offer special media collections and events in cooperation with kindergartens, after-school care centers and schools. By providing a wide range of educational and cultural offers and meeting authors, we make an important contribution to the economic and social development of Vorchdorf for all population and age groups in the sense of a humanistic image and contribute to the attractiveness of our place.
