In the past, the brine had to be heated for transport in the wooden pipes and this took place in the winter in the so-called brine rooms. Selected workers were responsible for maintaining and monitoring the pipes all year round.
In the museum, visitors learn how work was done at the "Strehn" in those days. Stories from former "Strehn workers" can be listened to at the push of a button.
