Statue next to the fountain Sometimes known as the Brunnenknab. It is not really known what sex the statue is. Erected in 1862 as a bird bath it belongs to the oldest monuments in the park. The sculptor is unfortunately unknown. During his many spa trips to Bad Hall Franz Grillparzer liked to sit on a park bench and complained in a letter, to his girlfriend Katti Fröhlich, about the tough beef at the inn "Zur Kaiserin Elisabeth".
