The Mattigtal, a jewel of an unmistakable landscape, is located in the Upper Austrian district of Braunau am Inn.

Hundreds of small springs and spring brooks, which are free of dirt and water turbidity all year round, guarantee high water quality and ensure excellent water quality in the trout's spring pools. Due to the high water quality and the slow growth to seedling, stocking and edible fish, the meat has a firm, fine structure, is tender yet muscular and odourless.
