Monument at the "Wetzlerbauer"

Strobl, Salzburg, Österreich
The wayside shrine commemorates a Glöckler who died here during a scuffle, according to other reports a Krampus who was drowned in a well during a quarrel.
In any case, the man was refused a church burial because of his unchristian disguise, and he was buried on the spot.

The Wetzler is one of the farmsteads located west of Strobl above the Wolfgangsee federal road.
