Naturraum Moosbachtal

The diverse habitat provides an insight into the exciting flora and fauna of natural wetlands and biotopes.

An approx. 2 km long nature trail leads through the "Moosbachtal natural area", an ecosystem covering around 70,000 m². The habitat is located along the Dambach stream and is home to numerous plant and animal species in the wetlands and biotopes.

Life in the pond, in the Dambach and also in the neighbouring wet meadows can be explored, the historic Vogeltenne provides a glimpse into the past and the fruit hedge is home to many different plant species - from medicinal to poisonous.
The information centre in the Bundwerk building is both the starting point and destination of the nature trail and provides stereo microscopes, a presentation system, information boards, work materials, plant and animal identification books. This information centre can be used at any time for lectures, exhibitions, further education, etc. Guided tours are also offered - from forest and herb excursions to landscape and nature tours.
