The observatory of the Linz Astronomical Society (LAG), which opened in 1983, is located on the Freinberg in Linz and is open to the public. It is equipped with a computer-controlled Cassegrain reflector telescope, which has a primary mirror with an aperture of 500mm and a focal length of 5m. This instrument is complemented by an apochromatic fluorite refractor with 130mm aperture and 1200mm focal length.
The Kepler Observatory Linz regularly offers public sky observations, astronomical lectures and courses.
