Every exhibit in the Puchkirchen village museum has its own story. From the old coffee roasting machine to traditional costumes and mining artefacts, a wealth of forgotten knowledge and memories can be refreshed and explained. The focus is on traditional crafts, popular piety, local associations and mining.
The origins of the village museum go back to a former miner from Puchkirchen, Josef Schick, who collected agricultural implements, household objects and handicraft tools during his lifetime. After his death in 2001, Schick bequeathed the collection to the public. The village museum was set up on the initiative of former mayor Adolf Gaisbauer to make it accessible to the public
